Harvey's central composition is very imaginative and creative, with the villain as puppet master manipulating the young couple. Harvey designed and got made the giant puppet strings, set up the shoot and worked the coverlines around the image, which connotes the power that the evil Ular has to control their lives. Strong apt complementary colours against a black background. Convincing layout. House style consistent. The genre conventions covered well (title, main splash & image, apt cover lines, bar code, date & price, puff). A powerful image that garnered a lot of enthusiastic feedback.
